Recently Apple did push out iPhoneOS 3.1.3 which should improve “accuracy of reported battery level on iPhone 3GS” along with 2 other fixes. The jailbreaking-community suspects this release to be made with the intension to close holes for future jailbreaks; the iPhone Dev Team suggests to stay away if possible.
