unlock for BaseBand 5.12 seems possible

@sherif_hashim seems to have found a hole in BB 5.12, which came with the latest OS update 3.1.3.

This is really good news for all the people who “accidentally” upgraded to 3.1.3 and did loose their unlock. But maybe the iPhone Dev Team will keep it for 3.2’s baseband? (that, in my opinion, would make more sense )

    hi, i’m iphone 3gs old iboot user, but i’m upgraded 3.1.3 accidentally, with this exploit i can jailbrake my iphone?? when you relase it?

      this isn’t about the jailbreak, you are already able to jailbreak with the newest pwnage tool or sn0wbreeze.
      this is about the unlock for BaseBand 5.12 (to use any carrier).
      I’m not the developer of this, the iPhone Dev Team will use this hole to create a new unlock.
